Nammo Raufoss is located in the town of Raufoss, about 120 kilometers North of Oslo. The site houses Nammo's largest development and manufacturing hub, as well as Nammo AS, the corporate headquarters of the Nammo Group.
The production facilities at Raufoss were established in 1896 as Raufoss Ammunisjonsfabrikk (Ammunition Factory). Today Nammo Raufoss AS has around 900 employees, and is the largest company within the Raufoss industrial park, manufacturing medium and large caliber ammunition, as well as rocket motors for military and space applications.
Other facilities at Raufoss include Messen, the old officer’s mess dating back to Raufoss’ time as a military facility. Today it serves as Nammo’s company guest house and restaurant, serving both Nammo and other companies at Raufoss.
Raufoss is also home to Nammo’s largest test center with more than 20 test ranges for ammunition and rocket motors.
