Nammo is one of the world's largest independent providers of specialist ammunition and rocket motors.
Nammo is an international aerospace and defense company headquartered in Norway. With over 2500 employees across more than 30 sites and Offices in 12 countries, we are one of the world’s leading providers of ammunition and rocket motors for both military and civilian customers.
Nammo was formed in 1998 through a merger of the ammunition businesses in the three Nordic countries, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Today Nammo is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries and the Finnish Aerospace & Defense company Patria Oyj, each owning 50% of the shares in the company.
Our day-to-day operations are managed through four business units: Commercial Ammunition, Small and Medium Caliber Ammunition, Large Caliber Systems, and Aerospace Propulsion. Our product portfolio includes shoulder-launched munitions systems, ammunition for both military applications, as well as sports shooting and hunting, rocket motors for military and space applications, and environmentally friendly demilitarization services.
More than 90% of our revenues come from Europe and North America. 80% or our income comes from defense, and 20% from civilian activities including commercial ammunition, space propulsion and sea safety.
