Nammo Karlsborg is located next to the historical Karlsborg fortress at the western side of lake Vättern in Sweden.

The ammunition production activities started in 1870 in the old Karlsborg fortress. Already in 1887 the factory was moved outside the fortress compound, where they remain to this day. Karlsborg employs around 250 people, and serves as Nammo’s primary hub for small caliber ammunition for use by assault rifles and other light weapons, including armor piercing and non-toxic/lead free ammunition.
