The agreement includes an initial order worth over one billion SEK for Nammo’s 155MM High Explosive Extended Range (HE-ER) artillery shells, capable of reaching distances of up to 40 kilometers.
This framework agreement follows the recent signing of a strategic partnership agreement (SPA) between Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Nammo AS, designed to ensure long-term security of ammunition supply in the Nordic region.
The agreement is part of ongoing efforts to increase artillery ammunition production capacity in Sweden and the Nordics, supported by FMV, the Swedish Armed Forces, and the EU Commission. The expansion project is also part of the EU ASAP initiative, under which Nammo received EU funding in 2024.
“We are proud to deepen our partnership with FMV. This agreement not only strengthens the resilience and interoperability of Nordic defense, but also underlines our shared commitment to securing a reliable supply of advanced artillery ammunition for the future,” said Morten Brandtzæg, CEO of Nammo.
