Nammo expects Canadian Armed Forces to be a key customer for its products and services in the coming years. In order to be more present and provide the best possible service to the customer, the Group decided to establish Nammo Canada Inc. in Ottawa last February 2009.
Contract award
On February the 6th 2009, on behalf of the Department of National Defence, Canada, Public Works and Government Services Canada awarded a contract to Nammo on M72 A5 with an estimated value of 217 MNOK. Deliveries will start in October 2009 and are foreseen completed by July 2010. The award of the M72 A5 contract demonstrates that the time of establishing a Nammo office in Canada was right and will secure the necessary services to the customers.
Acquisition of Primex Security Systems Ltd.
Nammo has recently acquired 50% of Primex Security Systems Ltd. Primex Security Systems Ltd. was first established in 1999 and its primary business has been sales of security services and systems including installations and training. The Company is renamed Nammo Primex Security Ltd. and is owned jointly 50/50 with Mr. Yves Pelletier. The Company has 6 employees.
The Nammo Group has appointed Mr Yves Pelletier as the President of both Nammo Canada Inc. and Nammo Primex Security Ltd. Mr. Pelletier has a long and well recognized experience within the defense and security industry in Canada.
