Nammo acquires DN PressTec's business

On February 15, 2007 Nammo and partners signed the final agreement for acquiring the business of Deutsche Nickel PressTec GmbH. The transaction was previously approved by the German Cartel Office.

A newly established company ND PressTec GmbH is taking over the assets of Deutsche Nickel- PressTec GmbH. Nammo Germany GmbH has bought 60% of DN PressTec GmbH.

The purchase of DN PressTec is an investment for the Nammo Group to secure European supplies of semi-produced components for both Nammo’s small caliber operations and the small caliber industry.
ND PressTec GmbH is located in Schwerte near Dortmund in Germany. The company will be operated as a stand-alone business with its present management in charge of the business.

ND PressTec is a market leader in its field of full range brass cups and discs for small and medium caliber cartridges in Europe, North America and Middle East. The business was previously part of the DNick Group. “We feel Nammo is a good new owner and we will continue to work in good cooperation with ND PressTec GmbH at the Schwerte Site”, stated DNick Holding plc’s CFO, Franz-Josef Seipelt, when he turned over the operations and businesses to the Nammo Group on February 15.

PressTec has been a vital long-term supplier to Nammo and I am glad we finally were able to bring the operations into a stronger industrial structure and partnership, securing both Nammo and PressTec’s other global customers a strong quality supplier also in the future”, comments the new Chairman of ND PressTec GmbH, Jan Koivurinta.
