Nammo NAD

Nammo NAD AS is owned 90% by Nammo AS and 10% by Salvesen & Tham's Communications AS and counts approx. 10 employees. Since the beginning of the 1990's, controlled underground detonations have been performed in the old mine. Nammo NAD became a part of the Nammo Group in 1999.

 

Controlled Underground Detonations has been developed as a valuable supplement to existing methods in the demilitarisation business. Operations are carried out in the complex tunnels and chamber systems of the mine. Explosive components are demolished by detonation in chambers more than 900 meters underground.
