Mechanical Department

The mechanical department is with its location a natural supplier of services within mechanical works for the different businesses in the industrial plant at Raufoss. The department delivers components to both the car and airplane industries, in addition to Nammo’s advanced components for missile products, arms, ammunition and civil Ariane 5 rocket.

During the time spent as a long standing supplier of defence products, the mechanical department has developed a unique competence and equipment for the whole process from hot forging, pressing, machining, hardening, surface treatment to testing of finished goods.
