Safety Awards to Talley
Arizona's State Compensation Fund's "Best of the Best" award and the new Sentinel Award both went to Nammo Talley in 2007

In an industry where safety is paramount, Talley Defense Systems has continued to provide and maintain an impressive safety record. The national average for recordable injuries in the United States for 2007 was almost 8.0 accidents per 100 employees. Talley goes on record for 2007 with only 1.5 accidents per 100 employees, well below the national average. Consistently below the industry average, our severity rate remains zero. Reaching a milestone for the period from Feb 2005 to the December 2007, the company has realized almost 1.2 million man-hours worked without a lost-time accident.
Additional milestones achieved include four consecutive years as a top performer with our workers compensation insurance carrier, State Compensation Fund (SCF), which insures more than 57,000 companies in the state of Arizona. Workers compensation insurance rates are based on the type of hazardous exposures in the work place. Due to our performance, we received a 38% discount off the standard rate. We also qualify for the workers compensation Performance and Business Association premium pools. In 2007, our bonus totaled $42,979. The SCF recognizes companies with outstanding safety records through annual awards. The SCF “Best of the Best” award, which originated in 2005, recognizes companies for workers compensation cost control and has been received by Talley for three consecutive years in 2005, 2006 and 2007. A new award for safety program performance, the SCF Sentinel Award, was introduced in 2007. Talley is proud to report we were the recipient. Kudos belong to the entire Talley Community for these important achievements.
