News from 50th ISSF WCH in Münich
Wednesday 4.8.2010 was a very succesfull day for Lapua at the 50th ISSF World Championship Games in Münich.
Team Lapua shooter Mr Peter Sidi (HUN) and Lapua´s .22 LR X-Act took a gold medal in 50 m Rifle 3 Pos Men with the result 1178-72X + 97,6 Final = 1275,6. The triumpf of Lapua continued right away, when Mr Kim Andre Lund (NOR) climbed the highest level on the podium after the 50 m 3 Pos Men Junior match. Kim shot 1166-55X points with Lapua´s Midas+ in the tough competition of juniors.
Yesterday Lapua´s most newborn - 6,5x47 Lapua - showed it´s performance in 300 m Prone men elimination competition when the French shooting star Mr Henry Josselin shot 600/600 - The equal World Record!
That record has also been shot by Mr Harald Stenvaag (NOR) in 1990, Mr Bernd Rücker (GER) in 1994 and Mr Vebjörn Berg (NOR) in 2010.
This time the record shooting was very distinguished because Josselin shot it with the factory loaded 4316011 6,5x47 Lapua GB489 8,0 g / 123 gr. HPBT SCENAR rounds without any test shooting or lot selection!
